Procrastination….

Sharing is caring!

Sharing is caring, lets spread the word

The dictionary definition tells us that procrastination is Procrastination is the habit of delaying an important task, usually by focusing on less urgent, more enjoyable, and easier activities instead. It is different from laziness, which is the unwillingness to act. I prefer to call it proCRAFTination. Yip, I’m not procrastinating, I am procraftinating! I have so many things on the go at the moment that instead of finishing them, what have I done…. only started a new granny square blanket that has no earthly purpose as yet other than distracting me from the million other things that I need to be doing. Are you a master procrastinator when it comes to your crochet and your works in progress. I think we all are. We are like the dog who is chasing a ball and then sees a squirrel, our attention is always divided, always looking for the next crochet project.

Oh and endless ends to be woven in!

Technically I am supposed to be getting ready to launch my latest blanket design called Bláithnaid. But am I doing that….. Nope.

I am also supposed to be finishing another new blanket design that I have drawn up, written up but am literally on row 15 cos you know this granny is so very important.

Also on the list is stitch marker orders and my 12 Days of Christmas stitch marker sets. Am I doing this? Heck no!

There is also the raffle in the Facebook group to get drawn with lots of fab prizes including £25 for WoolWarehouse. Am I sorting that out….. erm nope.

There is also various admin, about another 6 designs to be done and some website work but here I am making a granny square blanket.

Oh and my house needs cleaned, groceries are needed and the dogs need walked but sure one more round won’t hurt will it?

Does this sound like you? Have you got a million things going on or that need to be done and you are doing the polar opposite, doing everything and anything to avoid what is needed to be done? Yep, you too are part of this elite group of procraftinators and welcome to the gang! Mind you I am back to my actual day job on Tuesday so I really better get a wriggle on to make sure that Bláithnaid is ready for you all at some point this week. Subscribers to my newsletter will get a nice little discount voucher to use on release so make sure you sign up. (You can find the link at the very bottom of the page) In the meantime I will leave you with a teeny, tiny sneak peek.
