Warm Hands, Warm Heart

Sharing is caring!

I was very fortunate to have had to opportunity to have teamed up with the lovely people at Anzula yarns for my latest project. I selected Squishy Skeinettes as they were made up of a light fingering weight yarn and were 80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon. Meaning that they would be super soft and warm and not heavy. I really wanted to try all the shades but narrowed it to Citizen Skein and Ocean’s Anzula.

In the back of my mind I always knew what I was going to create with these. It was a no brainer and when they arrived, they were perfect.

Over the Christmas period I had made some simple wrist warmers for friends, family and neighbours.

It was only after speaking to my neighbour that I discovered that she suffered with Reynaud’s Syndrome. It causes a decreased blood flow to the fingers and many have very cold hands. But Karen was delighted with her wrist warmers and told me they provided relief and comfort as well as keeping them warm. They were thin and light enough so that normal tasks can be carried out while wearing them and so Chameleon and Easy Stripe Wrist Warmers were born.
