Back in November 2020 and faced with another lockdown I decided to create my little pocket hugs. The idea behind them was to bring a little bit of cheer into people’s lives. Created with a little card so that people could send lovely sentiments turned out to be a wonderful way of keeping people connected during this incredibly difficult time while also giving me a lift through the wonderful, sometimes sad stories that people shared with me. I felt very much honoured and privileged to be a part of it for a small moment to bring a smile to someone’s face just to know that they weren’t alone during this time. That someone out there was thinking of them and they had some little thing to hold on to.

This little sailor (Ahoy Sailor – coming soon) was made for a family on their mother’s anniversary. Their mum had made them all little sailors when they were younger and this lady wanted one for each member as a little token of remembrance.
Creating all of theses little keychains gave me great joy so I wanted to give back a little with my little Happy Heart Hug pattern that I am releasing for free and I have rounded up some very lovely Valentines themed patterns to go along side it embracing the theme of love and being loved. There is always someone out there thinking of you.
Below is my Happy Heart Hug this is a super fast make with just a little bit of scrap yarn and is sure to brighten up someone’s day.
